In this article, we will cover an Overview of the System Emails Section located in the Settings. Below is a video to help you get started!
Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:
An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account.
(optional) You may benefit from completing the module Introduction to ClickFunnels 2.0.
How can you stay up to date with visitor activity to your funnels and affiliate actions? ClickFunnels’ system emails notify you when common visitor actions are performed in your sites and courses. System Emails can also be configured to inform you about successful referrals to your account.
Accessing Your System Email Settings
In your ClickFunnels account, click on the gear-shaped Settings button on the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
In the Settings sub-menu, select the System Emails tab.
You will now see the System Emails Dashboard. Near the top of the page, you will see a selector for the type of system email. They are as follows:
Affiliates: This marks actions taken by affiliates, including referral sales, a welcome, and broadcast messages to all affiliates.
Course: This tracks all actions taken regarding your course materials. These emails can be configured to inform your audience about successful enrolments and unenrolments. They can also be used to send welcome and update emails to subscribers.
Optin: When required, the Optin system email can be used to send a confirmation for double opt-in.
Order: These system emails are sent to customers to update them on order actions. These include order confirmation, assets successfully granted, payment failure, purchase confirmation, and abandoned cart notification.
Editing a System Email
Inside the System Email Dashboard,each system email is listed in the corresponding section with the following layout:
Name and Description: The name and a brief description of the email action.
Status: Whether this email has been updated or is sending the default template.
You can access the email template editor by clicking on the pencil icon when you move the mouse over the template name and description. Click on this icon to view the template editor.

The customize button allows you to edit the body of the email. This uses the same editor format as any other ClickFunnels page.
The Subject line is the subject of the email that the recipient will receive. This line can be edited as a text box.
The From Address is a drop-down menu. You can select any valid email address that you have verified with ClickFunnels. If you do not select a custom email address, this will default to email@example.com.
The Reset email to default button will undo any changes made to the template. You will be asked to confirm your choice when you click on it. Click Proceed to complete this action.
When you have finished editing the template, click on the Save button to save your work.
