Discounts Overview Video

In this article, we will cover an Overview of Discounts in Products. Below is a video to help you get started!


Prior to getting started, you will need the following: 

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account.
  • Access to a Workspace and in the ClickFunnels 2.0 account.
  • At least one product.

Accessing Discounts

  1. To access your Discounts, first, click on the Products dashboard.

  2. Then click on the Discounts menu.

Add A Discount

There are three different types of discounts that can be offered: Discount Code, Automatic Discount, and Sale.

  1. To add a new discount, click the Add new discount button on the Discounts menu.

  2. Select the type of discount that is being offered.

    1. Discount Code: The customer must enter a code to receive the discount.
    2. Automatic Discount: Reduces the specified product's price if certain conditions are met.
    3. Sale: Reduces the specified product's price and is automatically applied.
  3. Fill in the required information.

    1. Discount name: Add a name for the discount which you can use to identify your created discount.
    2. Discount Method: Specify a fixed number or a percentage as the amount to discount.
    3. Entitlements: Choose which products the discount applies to.
      1. All Products: Apply the discount to every product.
      2. Specific Products: Select which product or products the discount is applied to.
      3. Specific Collection: Select which collection or collections the discount is applied to.
    4. Start Date & Time: This will be the exact date and time that the discount will become available.
    5. End Date & Time: This will be the exact date and time that the discount will no longer be available. After this date and time, the discount will not be applied.
    6. Depending on the type of discount selected, these additional settings will need to be set up:
      • Discount Codes: When creating a new Discount Code discount, you will see these additional settings:

        1. Discount code: This setting specifies the text for the code itself, which a customer must enter.
        2. Require minimum spend: This setting ensures that the code will only work if a specific amount of money has been spent.
        3. Limit to 1 use per customer: This setting allows each customer to only redeem the discount once.
      • Automatic Discounts: When creating a new Automatic Discount discount, you will see these additional settings:

        1. Trigger: This setting determines the conditions for the discount to be applied.
        2. Limit to 1 use per customer: This setting allows each customer to only redeem the discount once.
  4. Once that is done, click on the Create discount button.

Modify A Discount

After creating a discount, its settings can be modified anytime.

  1. If a discount’s settings need to be changed, that can be done by clicking on the name of the discount or by clicking on the gear icon from the discounts menu.

  2. When modifying an existing discount, there will also be an option to expire the discount immediately, instead of waiting for the End Date & Time.

  3. Once the changes have been made, remember to click on the Update discount button before leaving the page.

Archive A Discount

A Discount will have its own end date configured in its settings. However, a discount can also be archived before that date is reached.

  1. To archive a discount, open the discount’s settings by clicking on the discount's name or the gear icon from the discounts menu.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Archive button.

Unarchive A Discount

An archived discount can be unarchived at any point.

  1. To restore an archived discount, click on the Archived tab of the discounts menu.

  2. Find the discount that needs to be unarchived and click on its name.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Unarchive button.
