Using the Webhook Step in a Workflow

In this article, we will cover Using the Webhook Step in a Workflow. Below is a video to help you get started!

 

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account.
  • Marketing settings configured in the account.
  • A third-party webhook URL.

Step by Step Walk Through:

  1. Click on Settings.

  2. Click on Webhooks.

  3. Click on Add New Endpoint.

  4. Give the new Webhook a name.

  5. Paste in the third-party webhook URL.

  6. Select the event type: workflows/steps/deliver_webhook_step.executed

  7. Click on Create endpoint.

  8. Now click on Marketing.

  9. Click on Workflows.

  10. Click on Add New Workflow. Otherwise, choose an existing Workflow to modify and skip ahead.

  11. Give the new Workflow a name.

  12. Optionally, choose the preferred Run Type or leave it as it is.

  13. Click on Create workflow.

  14. The Workflow builder will open up, allowing you to create your Workflow. Start by adding a Trigger.

  15. Click on the Add a trigger button.

  16. Toggle the Active? option to the ON position to enable the trigger.

  17. Configure the Trigger to your needs. You can start by selecting a specific Event Type for the trigger, keeping in mind that this will be the first requirement for the Workflow to run; therefore, it is a condition for the Webhook event to be triggered.

  18. Optionally, choose a specific Funnel and/or Page requirement for the Trigger.

  19. Once the Trigger is configured to your liking, click on the Create Trigger button.

  20. Add any additional triggers and then click on the Close button.

  21. Click on the plus icon to add a new step to the Workflow.

  22. Scroll down to the Other section and click on Webhook.

  23. Select the Webhook from the dropdown menu.

  24. Click on the Create button.

  25. You can place the Webhook step anywhere in your Workflow. Data will be sent through to the webhook URL whenever the Workflow’s Trigger is activated and the Webhook step is reached.
