Step-by-step guide on connecting an external domain automatically

Alejandra C

In this article, we will cover how to connect an existing domain to your ClickFunnels 2.0 account using the automated method.

In order for the automated method to work, your domain registrar must be supported by Entri.

Entri is the tool that ClickFunnels use to add domains automatically to your account. You can check if your Domain registrar is supported HERE.

Before getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • A ClickFunnels account

  • An existing domain from a 3rd party registrar supported by Entri

Step by Step Walk Through:

  1. From the Site & Funnels menu, select Domains and click on the Connect Existing Domain button.

  2. Enter the existing domain in the blank field and click continue.

Note: Be sure to include the www subdomain at the beginning.

  3. Once the domain registrar information populates, click the Add Domain button.

  4. Click on the Start Domain Setup button.

Important: The Optional setting below is a redirect setting that will allow the domain to work with or without www. It is recommended to keep this setting enabled.

  5. A window will open confirming that ClickFunnels uses a 3rd party tool called Entri to configure domains. Click the Continue button.

  6. A window confirming the domain’s registrar will appear. To proceed, click the authorize button.

  7. The new DNS records that are being added to the registrar will be displayed. Click the authorize button to continue.

  8. Click the Done button once the domain configuration has been confirmed.

  9. The domain will now show as connected to confirm a successful connection.

  10. Note: On some occasions, the domain status will show as securing. Please allow up to 48 hours for the securing process to finish.

  11. Congratulations! You now know how to connect an existing domain in ClickFunnels.
